This is the best Documentary about Lions. In the last 50 years wild lions in Africa steep down from about 450,000 to today’s 20,000 hitting extinction by losing land from human population, trophy hunting etc…

Any living beings have the right to thrive on this planet, every species contribute to the balance of healthy earth life, if human beings want to survive in a long run, we must understand and respect all lives, and treat all lives as equal.

Let’s hope and help that these are the last lions that have to struggle to survive on this planet, let us do our bit to help them revive by participating in any ways we can, be it donating to wildlife projects, adoption, going to eco-safaris etc…!

In The feature of This Week’s Chinese song, I would introduce more old and popular songs in Chinese speaking world since they can give you a glimpse of the life change in China in the past 50 something years. Another reason for more old songs is that many of the old songs are frequently modified and re-presented on stage with various music styles by new singers, which are quite creative and interesting. Today’s song is a popular one in the nineties by Chen Ming.

In China of the Nineties of last century, it was still new for people to seek bravely for personal happiness and freedom of life. For instance, it was common that people would give up any ideas to break up if they don’t have a happy marriage just because of the unapproving attitude placed by the society. There were a lot of old beliefs that limits people from seeking happiness. Every words in the lines express strongly the will of ignoring all worldly bias and really uplifting. Chen Ming was one of the strength singers in the ninetieth pop stage in China that I liked. She used to have the name of “Southern Queen” paired with the “Northern Queen” Na Ying, and several of her original Albums hit tops, but for some reasons her reign was not long and she became quiet for many years. I believe she was a talented singer and creative song writer from her songs although I would not place my thumb on what the lyric says ‘there is a popular pain in the cities cause Cupid’s arrow shoots the wrong targets’. We know God of Love won’t make mistakes -his arrow always picks the 2 right targets; only nothing in the world is forever because nothing is static, everything is always in constant change. The world always causes confusions, but this is the beauty of the world – without these confusions, it would not create so many talented artists who give back to the world so much beautiful, enchanting and heart-touching works for us to appreciate.
