A Love Before Time 月光爱人 – by Coco Lee

A lot of people may have watched the film ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ and thrilled and fascinated by the Gongfu and stories developed in it. But the most impression I got from it is the music, especially the beautiful theme song and its music. Interestingly Later on I noticed the lyrics to it are actually in two completely different versions – the Chinese Version (The Moonlight Love) and the English Version (A Love Before Time). Both content are beautiful but reflect different aspects of our life. The former a romantic and affectionate love, and the later a spiritually up-lifted Shining Light. Here are the English lyrics

A Love Before Time

Music by Jorge Calandrelli & Tan Dun Lyric by James Schamus
from: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

If the sky opened up for me,
And the mountains disappeared,
If the seas ran dry, turned to dust
And the sun refused to rise
I would still find my way,
By the light I see in your eyes
The world I know fades away
But you stay

As the earth reclaims it due
And the cycle starts anew
We’ll stay, always
In the love that we have
Shared before time

If the years take away
Every memory that I have
I would still know the way
That would lead me back to your side
The north star may die
But the light that I see in your eyes
Will burn there always

Lit by the love we have
Shared before time

When the forest turns to jade
And the stories that we’ve made
Dissolve away
One shining light will still remain

When we shed our earthly skin
And when our real life begins
There’ll be no shame
Just the love that we have made before time

Chinese Translation
月光爱人

如果天空为我打开,山峦消失;

After listening to it, do you feel extended and uplifted by the Shining Love we’ve all shared ‘before’ we were born?

‘Sharing’ is a remedy for healing, is a good quality for a life of well-being. Would you like to share your feelings with me? I’d like to hear!

Chakras, the Engery Centers of The Human Body – to keep cleared to achieve your life purpose (3)

As in the posting of this Week’s Chinese Song I mentioned that many of us have a lot of dreams, goals in our life, but many of them may be killed for various reasons. How many dreams do you have? how many goals do you have and are they really your desires to achieve…?

images-solar
All these questions are related to the energy of  Solar Plexus Chakra, the third chakra of the human body, located at the area of our stomach tip, between the rib cage. Solar Plexus chakra is the personable power center, reflecting the self-esteem, self-confidence, clarity of our thoughts, the connection with the Divine Energy in mental and emotional aspect; and it governs almost the entire digestive system including the  stomach, liver, spleen, kidney,  small intestines, adrenal glands, etc. in physical aspect.  And it is associated with the color yellow, the sun color.

We are spiritual beings, but live in this physical world. In everyday life, our brain passively receives and processes trillions of data, and these data  run and form our mind, and install in this energy center, becoming our past experiences.

I remember my 2 brothers have/had years of severe stomach or spleen problems that required frequent medication and some surgeries,  and all my siblings and I experienced low self-esteem issues due to the historic and tragic events  happened nationwide in China during the Nineteen  Sixties that affected my family (please refer to About page) . Thank God, I am blessed with the self-healing power and I’m healed already. I’m hoping through my words and deeds to help other people heal themselves.

When the energy of our personal power center is tainted, we lose our sense of connection with the Divine Source, may experience low self-esteem, low self-confidence, have no  clarity on our life purpose,  no solutions towards some even simple issues; a person with unbalanced Solar Plexus can also become driven by false will – the ego, everything you do seems like a hard pursue with lots of struggles and stresses. To stay balanced we would  need constant work on the chakra clearance.

If you experience these emotional or physical issues, try to work on your solar plexus chakra through color meditation with affirmations. Also in daily life associate yourself with yellow colors like flowers, fruits, clothes etc.  the most important – Remember  you’re not what other people think of, you’re part of the Divine energy, and you can co-create your physical reality.  Several well-known people such as Dr. Wyne Dyer stated similar sayings “You change the way to look at things, the things you look at change”. Always stay with positive things/thoughts and don’t let yourself be poisoned by negative things/thoughts. Your goals/dreams may not become the way you expected, they will unfold and be reached for the best of your life. All you need to do is to stay connected with the source energy through meditation and quietness plus constant clearance on your chakras.

三百六十五里路The Journey of 365 Days – by Mao Ning & Yang Yuying LWUM

“Stars are sleeping, but it won’t stop me on my journey. For many years I have been living with wind and dew. For my dreams, I would rather endure loneliness, tasting my fill of solitude.
I shake off the dust of strange lands, taking the road for a long journey, to seek fervently my dreams;
Three hundred and sixty five days, year after year passes, every day is one journey…”

These are from the lyrics of the popular song The Journey of 365 Days written in the nineteen eighties by a famous and prolific song writing couple Xiaoxun and Tan Jianchang from Hongkong. It was performed on stage by many singers from 1984. A good song lasts long, Chinese saying ‘it never becomes boring even being sung hundreds of times and listened hundreds of times’ – 百听不厌/百唱不厌

The Full English Translation
Stars are sleeping, but it won’t stop me on my journey. For many years I have been living with wind and dew. For my dreams, I would rather endure loneliness, tasting my fill of solitude.
I shake off the dust of strange lands, taking the road for a long journey, to seek fervently my dreams;
Three hundred and sixty five days, year after year passes, every day is one journey.
Oh, three hundred and sixty five days, passing are the four seasons; oh, three hundred and sixty five days, how can I let them be wasted.

Oh, my brave ambition is never discouraged, and I’m still holding on to it as time passes; how many times have three hundred and sixty-five days passed since I left my home town!

Oh, three hundred and sixty-five days, from my homeland to strange lands; oh, three hundred and sixty-five days, from youth to white hair.

How many three hundred and sixty-five days are there, as the four seasons pass? Oh, three hundred and sixty-five days, how can I let them be wasted?
How many three hundred and sixty-five days are there, from my homeland to strange lands? Oh, three hundred and sixty-five days, from youth to white hair.
The long journey of three hundred and sixty-five days, I taste my fill of solitude.
* This song could be taught at higher intermediate level

In this video clip, Mao Ning and Yang Yuying, famed as Gold Boy and Jade Girl in the Nineties in Mandarin speaking music stage by singing together, both experienced ups and downs in their singing careers and also sang separately. After 10 years of Yang’s break from stage, they came back again on the stage about two years ago and received warm welcome and success.

Everyone of us has a lot of dreams, big or small. How many dreams do you have? and How many of them have been fulfilled? Do you truly believe in your dreams? Do you really desire your dreams come true? Many times dreams are killed by our unconscious beliefs and worldly views. And sometimes it’s a long journey and acquires solitude to make them true – are you ready for it? and also many times the journey of a dream is an experience of life, and a growth of your confidence and knowledge as a person, it can be an enjoyable experience – it all depends on your own choices of attitude… how do you want to fulfill your dreams?
I’d like to hear about your thoughts.
