16.1致虚极，守静笃（dǔ）。万物并作，吾以观其复。
Try to empty and quiet my mind to reach focus;
in focus I observe the complex appearances of all things
16.2 夫物芸芸，各复归其根。
Things have colorful forms but all return to their respective root
16.3归根曰静，静曰复命。
Returning to root means serene, serenity brings you back to Life
16.4复命曰常，知常曰明。不知常，妄作凶。
Returning to Life is eternal. knowing Eternity is in Light;
without knowing Eternity, you behave blindly and bring about bad results
16.5知常容，容乃公，公乃王，王乃天，天乃道，道乃久，
殁（mò）身不殆（dài）。
Knowing Eternity leads you to tolerance,
with tolerance you show justice,
justice is the King, King is Heaven,
Heaven is Law, Law of Heaven is eternal,
and It never dies when your body dies
