Let Home Land Clouds Heal The Wounds – Fei Xiang

Drifting in the sky are the homeland clouds, calling to me non-stop; When the breeze by the side starts flowing, the sound always comes to me: “Come back, come back, my far-off wanderers; come back, come back, wander no more …

I’m overcome with exhaustion, and my eyes are filled with bitter tears. The homeland winds and homeland clouds can heal my wounds; I used to have great ambitions, but now I have come to nothing. The homeland winds and hometown clouds can heal my pain…

With heavy steps, I’m walking the long road back to my home land. When the breeze started to flow over me, it brought me the scent of my homeland soil. Come back, come back, my far-off wanderers; come back, come back. I am tired of this vagrant life. I used to have great ambitions, but now I have come to nothing. The homeland winds and homeland clouds can heal my pain.

Come back, come back, my far-off wanderers. Come back, come back, wander no more. The homeland winds and homeland clouds can heal my pain.

Sounds familiar? Sounds resonant to our current Struggles in humanity on earth?

This is a song performed in the late 1980s by an American-Chinese singer born in Taiwan, short after when China opened its door to the outside worlds. Imagine what the feelings would be at the moment of reunion for some of that generation of Chinese people who had been separated from each other for decades among families who valued the family-ties as their roots of life.

More words are redundant here, after some 30 years this song resonates at a much deeper and broader space to all humanity who were originally divine seeds but wandered away from the ‘Motherland’, we are responding to the call for Unity and Embarking the journey to Our Eternal Home – A self-sustained Green Field!
