Can you believe this beautiful, poetic and deep meaning-bearing song was originally written in 1993 as a theme song for a movement of cracking down fake commercial operations in Chinese market? and immediately became successful, won the prize of to 10 Golden Songs of the same year. And it became a long lasting, popular song.
Quite obvious, its success partially contributes to the lyric, which did not fall to a pragmatic work to work relating fake commodities etc, but instead using poetic metaphors in nature and inner feelings.
I knew this song very well, could and still can sing it well. And it just came to me from memory in the last a few days.
